Variants & sibling models — and how to tell them apart (spec-contamination risk)The large enclosed Anycubic. Against the Kobra S1: 350 mm cube against 250 (Anycubic claims 174% more volume), 350 C hardened-steel nozzle against 320 C, 65 C active chamber heating that the S1 lacks entirely, a titanium-alloy throat tube and hardened-steel extruder gears, an activated carbon filter, 720p camera against 480p, and 25.7 kg against 9.37 kg. Its engineering-filament list is correspondingly longer

Clip-on purge bucket

The creator’s bucket clips to the external spool holder to collect purge waste and provides several sizes. Choose the size for the available clearance and keep the waste outlet free.

Applies to: Kobra S1 Max external spool-holder mounting; do not substitute the smaller S1 bucket geometry.

Firmware, controls, connections and calibration.

Firmware & software

Rinkhals access to the stock Klipper environment

For owners who need configuration access and local frontends, Rinkhals adds SSH, Moonraker and Mainsail/Fluidd while retaining the Kobra S1 Max stock interface and calibration workflow. Follow the model-specific package and recovery instructions.

Applies to: Kobra S1 Max, including Combo; use its dedicated package and the tested stock-version matrix.

Problems & troubleshooting

Error 10106: local storage is full

The official response to insufficient local memory starts by deleting local files. Factory reset is a later option that also removes stored network, calibration and print-history information, so preserve what is needed before that step.

Applies to: Kobra S1 Max; use this procedure for code 10106 rather than treating every failed upload as a memory fault.

How to read this guide

This guide presents the catalog’s sourced record for this exact model. Source dates belong to each reference; a page update does not mean every specification has been rechecked.

Prices are dated listing snapshots, with configuration, regional and sale conditions. They are not current offers. Unknown values remain unfilled.

Firmware, variants and available accessories can change. Read the original reference before making a purchase or planning a process.

Ownership research & coverage

Firmware, modifications and troubleshooting links are checked against the model and stated hardware or firmware revision. A creator’s compatibility claim is not a fit test by this site. Official troubleshooting describes a diagnostic route; individual reports do not establish a failure rate.

This review did not verify hardware upgrades for this exact model. That is a research gap, not a claim that none exist.
