Variants & sibling models — and how to tell them apart (spec-contamination risk)Largest Kobra 2. Shares the Plus's 90 C bed ceiling and 500/300 mm/s figures but scales to 420 x 420 x 500 mm and 21 kg. Anycubic's on-page comparison is against the older Kobra Max (450 x 400 x 400 mm, Bowden, 180 mm/s), not against the Kobra 2 Plus. Note the newer Kobra 3 Max has the same 420 x 420 x 500 mm volume - build volume alone will not distinguish them

Problems & troubleshooting

Layer shift: inspect belts and pulleys

For a shifted model, the Kobra 2 Max FAQ calls for checking loose X/Y belts or pulleys and reducing excessive movement or print speed. Check those mechanical causes before changing dimensional compensation in the slicer.

Applies to: Kobra 2 Max stock belt-driven X/Y motion system; the FAQ documents troubleshooting, not the frequency of layer shifts.

Removable Kobra 2 hotend cover

The creator’s replacement cover makes hotend and fan access easier while retaining the stock fan/duct option. It uses the case hardware plus three M3×10 screws; the listing also links a separate custom duct.

Applies to: Creator explicitly lists the Kobra 2 series. Check cover and duct versions together; Neo users additionally need the separate endstop adapter.

How to read this guide

This guide presents the catalog’s sourced record for this exact model. Source dates belong to each reference; a page update does not mean every specification has been rechecked.

Prices are dated listing snapshots, with configuration, regional and sale conditions. They are not current offers. Unknown values remain unfilled.

Firmware, variants and available accessories can change. Read the original reference before making a purchase or planning a process.

Ownership research & coverage

Firmware, modifications and troubleshooting links are checked against the model and stated hardware or firmware revision. A creator’s compatibility claim is not a fit test by this site. Official troubleshooting describes a diagnostic route; individual reports do not establish a failure rate.

This review did not verify firmware customization or update guidance, hardware upgrades for this exact model. That is a research gap, not a claim that none exist.
