| Variants & sibling models — and how to tell them apart (spec-contamination risk) | Superseded by the Centauri Carbon 2, which raises the nozzle ceiling to 350 C and swaps the nano mineral crystal filter for a HEPA plus coconut-shell carbon stack, adds clog detection, a smart exhaust grille and part-cooling-fan drop detection. The non-carbon Centauri and Centauri 2 are open-frame-oriented machines with a different filament list. Machine size 398 x 404 x 490 mm is shared with the Centauri 2, so body dimensions alone will not identify the model | 3 sources

| Market position: superseded? successor announced? | Superseded within ELEGOO's own line-up: the US store's Centauri section in Aug 2026 lists the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo, Centauri 2 Combo, Centauri Carbon 2 and an emoji collaboration edition | 1 source

ELEGOO’s diagnostic sequence checks a deformed hotend, loose 3010 fan, cutter return, wiper-arm movement and nozzle contact with the waste chute. Follow the illustrated checks and escalate if the collision or shift persists.
Applies to: Original Centauri Carbon (CC1) factory toolhead and wiping hardware; this is a manufacturer hardware diagnosis, not a COSMOS calibration-macro procedure.

This replacement changes to the FlowTech cold-change nozzle system. Select the first-generation printer option: the manufacturer explicitly warns that CC1 and CC2 use different thermistor parameters.
Applies to: Centauri Carbon 1 option only; the CC2 variant is not an interchangeable heater/thermistor assembly.

COSMOS replaces the stock environment with Klipper/Kalico on the original mainboard, exposing a console, bed mesh and calibration controls. The maintainer warns that the controller has little spare memory for extra plugins.
Applies to: First-generation Centauri Carbon (CC1). The current FAQ focuses development on CC1 and does not establish CC2 support.

This guide presents the catalog’s sourced record for this exact model. Source dates belong to each reference; a page update does not mean every specification has been rechecked.
Prices are dated listing snapshots, with configuration, regional and sale conditions. They are not current offers. Unknown values remain unfilled.
Firmware, variants and available accessories can change. Read the original reference before making a purchase or planning a process.
Firmware, modifications and troubleshooting links are checked against the model and stated hardware or firmware revision. A creator’s compatibility claim is not a fit test by this site. Official troubleshooting describes a diagnostic route; individual reports do not establish a failure rate.
This review did not verify printable modifications for this exact model. That is a research gap, not a claim that none exist.
