Siblings in the same family are the H2S (single nozzle, 340x320x340 mm, 30 kg) and H2C (dual nozzle, 305x320x325 mm single-nozzle volume, 32.5 kg, four cameras as standard) - all three share the 492x514x626 mm body, so body dimensions alone will not tell them apart

Calibrate motion with the Vision Encoder accessory

The encoder plate is a calibration accessory used with the toolhead camera, not a build surface. Follow the prescribed calibration conditions and keep the markers clean; the calibration does not replace mechanical inspection when a motion problem appears.

Applies to: The checked product documentation specifies H2D. A functioning toolhead camera is required.

Printing system

Extrusion, heating, leveling and material handling.

Problems & troubleshooting

Extrusion stops: follow the H2D feed-path diagnosis

The H2D guide checks the hotend and dual-extruder feed path separately when overload or air-printing appears. TPU has a separate diagnostic route because its behavior in the mechanism differs.

Applies to: H2D only; match the installed toolhead and hotend. This documented diagnostic route does not establish failure frequency.

Hardware & upgrades

Convert the toolhead system with the H2C upgrade kit

Bambu documents a substantial Vortek conversion involving the toolhead/X-axis assembly, heatbed, AP board and hotend rack. It requires the model’s complete compatibility pack and device registration; this is a hardware rebuild rather than a firmware-only unlock.

Applies to: H2D compatibility pack only. Follow the H2D guide, including its laser-version differences and current firmware prerequisite.

Collect purge waste behind the printer

Henryk’s slim purge-bin design provides a removable container behind the H2D. Check rear clearance and access to the outlet before adopting the part.

Problems & troubleshooting

A clumping alert may need both a physical check and a software check

Owners have reported nozzle-clumping alerts on prints without an obvious clump. Check the nozzle and print first, record the exact firmware and retain logs for support. The report is evidence of an observed symptom, not proof that every alert is false or that a current release still has the issue.

Applies to: H2D owner comments in the linked issue. Firmware versions differ between reports; no universal fix is established here.

How to read this guide

This guide presents the catalog’s sourced record for this exact model. Source dates belong to each reference; a page update does not mean every specification has been rechecked.

Prices are dated listing snapshots, with configuration, regional and sale conditions. They are not current offers. Unknown values remain unfilled.

Firmware, variants and available accessories can change. Read the original reference before making a purchase or planning a process.

Ownership research & coverage

Firmware, modifications and troubleshooting links are checked against the model and stated hardware or firmware revision. A creator’s compatibility claim is not a fit test by this site. Official troubleshooting describes a diagnostic route; individual reports do not establish a failure rate.

This review did not verify firmware customization or update guidance for this exact model. That is a research gap, not a claim that none exist.
