ABS with a conductive carbon filler bringing surface resistance from above 10¹³ down to 10⁷–10⁹ ohm/sq, the static-dissipative band, while raising tensile strength at break to 58 MPa.
ESD ABS addresses charge handling in electronics work where ordinary ABS is an electrical insulator. 3DXTech describes 3DXSTAT ESD-ABS as a carbon-nanotube compound for applications requiring ESD protection and cleanliness. The engineering niche is dissipative tooling and handling surfaces; the carbon loading is selected for electrical behavior rather than maximum stiffness.
That electrical function depends on the finished component and its connection to the broader ESD system. Verify resistance and the actual contact path instead of assuming the filament name proves workstation compliance. Published grade data also show lower elongation than unfilled ABS, so rigid screwed fixtures are less demanding than repeatedly flexed clips. Enclosure-controlled printing remains important for dimensional accuracy and layer integrity.

3DXTech identifies ESD protection and cleanliness as the purpose of 3DXSTAT ESD-ABS. Its product page does not document a named customer tray, fixture or certified assembly, so this remains a manufacturer-stated application category.

Values describe representative grades, not every spool. Manufacturer datasheets and independent tests retain their source labels and dates. Printed orientation, test method, conditioning and formulation can change results. Unknown values are —. A listed use is not a certification. Shore A, Shore D and Rockwell hardness are separate scales.
