Do not confuse with the Trident: the 2.4 lifts the whole gantry on four belted Z motors, the Trident lifts the bed on three screws. The Rev D+ kit includes a Raspberry Pi 4B; the older 3DJake-listed RevD kit explicitly does not include a Pi

Printable modification

Use the matching printed parts for the smooth-pin conversion

Hartk’s pin modification replaces specified M5 shafts with 5 mm smooth pins and matching printed supports. Use the parts for the correct machine revision; the V2-specific Z idlers are not Trident parts.

Applies to: Maintainer explicitly supports V2.4 R2 and Trident; choose the 6 mm or 9 mm belt variant and obtain the accompanying hardware.

Tap replaces the Z-probe mechanism

Tap uses nozzle contact with the bed and an optical switch. Adoption involves its mechanical assembly, sensor wiring and Klipper configuration, so check bed rigidity and toolhead compatibility before planning the conversion.

Applies to: Voron V2 / Trident with the documented front-mounted extruder, MGN12H rail, rigid bed and compatible power/PCB. Not a V0 modification.

Problems & troubleshooting

After a build or wiring change, recheck the startup sequence

Voron’s commissioning route separates temperature sensing, endstop states, motor motion and homing checks. Use the correct model’s sequence to isolate an incorrect configuration or connection before tuning print quality.

Applies to: Select V2 for the 2.4 build; kit boards, probes and Z drives vary.

Firmware & software

Organize Klipper configuration with Klippain

Klippain provides modular configuration and macros on top of a working Klipper installation. Match the board pins, toolhead and calibration to the actual build instead of replacing printer.cfg with another owner’s complete configuration.

Applies to: The maintainer lists Voron V2.4 among supported builds. This is a configuration framework, not a universal precompiled firmware image.

How to read this guide

This guide presents the catalog’s sourced record for this exact model. Source dates belong to each reference; a page update does not mean every specification has been rechecked.

Prices are dated listing snapshots, with configuration, regional and sale conditions. They are not current offers. Unknown values remain unfilled.

Firmware, variants and available accessories can change. Read the original reference before making a purchase or planning a process.

Ownership research & coverage

Firmware, modifications and troubleshooting links are checked against the model and stated hardware or firmware revision. A creator’s compatibility claim is not a fit test by this site. Official troubleshooting describes a diagnostic route; individual reports do not establish a failure rate.
