Tg 230 °C, the highest glass transition here, and repeatedly steam-autoclavable — the usual choice for sterilisable tooling when PEEK is too expensive. Stratasys and 3DXTech agree on 55 MPa printed tensile to within rounding.
PPSU is used in reusable instrument trays, sterilization cases and instrument handles because selected grades retain toughness through repeated hot-water, steam and disinfectant exposure. Syensqo also describes injection-molded hot-water plumbing components that replace brass: resistance to corrosion and hot chlorinated water, combined with low creep under load, supports durable fittings. Beverage-equipment fittings and sight windows are other listed uses.
Repeated hot cleaning is a central reason to choose PPSU over PSU, but the service cycle and formulation still matter. Aircraft-interior R-7000 compounds and hydrogen-system HYRA grades target different requirements from a general-purpose PPSU resin. FDM requires demanding chamber and drying conditions, and some printed grades are far less ductile than stock. Qualifying a printed fitting or reusable device therefore includes its actual cleaning cycles, joints, impact loads and end-use requirements.
Injection molding · Selected Radel PPSU and Acudel modified PPSU resins; not an FDM pressure qualification · Manufacturer-listed applications
Syensqo describes PPSU and modified PPSU replacing brass in hot-water systems, with tight molding tolerances, resistance to chlorinated water and low creep under sustained warm loads.

Values describe representative grades, not every spool. Manufacturer datasheets and independent tests retain their source labels and dates. Printed orientation, test method, conditioning and formulation can change results. Unknown values are —. A listed use is not a certification. Shore A, Shore D and Rockwell hardness are separate scales.
