Filled PPS reaches 252 °C heat deflection at 0.45 MPa and Polymaker states its grade needs no heated chamber — the one way into this temperature class without industrial hardware. Elongation at break is 1.4 %, the lowest in the dataset.
Carbon-filled PPS is used when PPS chemical resistance must be combined with greater structural stiffness. Xioneer and Polymaker document a concrete printed application: the magnetic-drive impeller in the Typhoon support-removal machines. It operates around heat, water and chemicals, so retaining its geometry and durability matters more than cosmetic appearance. Printing also let the developers iterate the impeller geometry.
The reported build used Polymaker PPS-CF with Xioneer VXL 150 support and achieved its intended crystalline state without annealing. That illustrates why thermal history and the support pairing matter alongside polymer chemistry. Carbon reinforcement raises stiffness but the low elongation leaves little margin for impacts, tight interference fits or repeated flexing. Glass-filled PPS has a different balance, while sustained-load temperature and chemical compatibility still need checking for the particular grade and printed orientation.
FFF/FDM with Xioneer VXL 150 support · Polymaker PPS-CF in the documented crystalline-printing process; exact filler content is not stated in the case · Documented case
Xioneer selected Polymaker PPS-CF for a printed impeller exposed to heated water and chemicals inside its support-removal equipment, reporting durability and successful geometry development.

Values describe representative grades, not every spool. Manufacturer datasheets and independent tests retain their source labels and dates. Printed orientation, test method, conditioning and formulation can change results. Unknown values are —. A listed use is not a certification. Shore A, Shore D and Rockwell hardness are separate scales.
