A polyamide/polyether thermoplastic elastomer. This entry describes eSUN PEBA-90A; other grades can differ.
PEBA is used where a light elastomer should recover energetically after deformation. Arkema attributes the low energy loss of its Pebax family to the polyamide/polyether block structure and documents sports uses including shoe components, foams and ski boots. This is why energy return is part of PEBA's engineering role; it is a different requirement from simply being soft or surviving a large stretch.
The grade and process boundaries are essential. A commercial foamed midsole is not equivalent to a solid eSUN PEBA-90A print, and tensile elongation does not measure rebound. For FDM, the bouncy-ball build below supplies direct creator evidence of lively bounce in a particular lattice and profile. The eSUN data also shows weaker printed Z strength than its XY lower-bound tensile figure. Geometry, orientation and cyclic testing determine whether that behavior suits a particular flexible part.
Foaming and injection molding · Selected Arkema Pebax industrial PEBA grades; polymer-family context, not eSUN PEBA-90A FDM · Manufacturer-listed applications
Arkema documents Pebax in foam midsoles and injected sports components and explains its low energy loss. These are applications of selected industrial PEBA grades and processing routes, not measured energy-return values for the listed eSUN filament.
Airless balls designed and tested for 90A PEBA. The uploader reports strong bounce with PEBA and a dead bounce from 90A/95A TPU trials; the shared 3MF contains the settings used.
Listing note: “This was designed to work with 90A PEBA filament, and it bounces super well.”

Values describe representative grades, not every spool. Manufacturer datasheets and independent tests retain their source labels and dates. Printed orientation, test method, conditioning and formulation can change results. Unknown values are —. A listed use is not a certification. Shore A, Shore D and Rockwell hardness are separate scales.
