Applications

ASA-CF combines the outdoor durability of ASA with increased stiffness and dimensional stability. The category is relevant to exposed mechanical mounts and structural fittings where deflection matters more than elastic compliance. 3DXTech markets CarbonX ASA+CF for high-modulus outdoor structural components, and its matte surface is useful on visible equipment parts.

The tradeoff is reduced tolerance for impact and concentrated strain, not a universal improvement over ordinary ASA. Bambu’s grade comparison shows substantially lower notched impact resistance, while the composite remains direction-dependent across layers. Carbon reinforcement also does not establish ESD performance. Use the actual grade’s properties and mount geometry rather than transferring strength or fibre content between manufacturers.

3DXTech explicitly combines outdoor suitability with high modulus and dimensional stability for CarbonX ASA+CF. It does not identify a particular customer mount or establish a load rating for arbitrary printed geometry.

How to read these values

Values describe representative grades, not every spool. Manufacturer datasheets and independent tests retain their source labels and dates. Printed orientation, test method, conditioning and formulation can change results. Unknown values are —. A listed use is not a certification. Shore A, Shore D and Rockwell hardness are separate scales.
