Identity & Market
Manufacturer & exact marketed model name (verify the exact product identity first)Voron 0.2, current revision R1. Sold under kit vendors' names: "Voron V0.2-S1 (R1) 3D Printer Kit by LDO & HoneyBadger", "Voron 0.2 R1 Latest Version CoreXY 3D Printer Kit" (Formbot)[1][2]Voron 2.4, current revision R2, kits shipping as Rev D and Rev D+. Sold as "Voron 2.4 R2 (Rev D+) 3D Printer Kit by LDO"[3][4]
Street price (USD; dated snapshot per entry)There is no single price: Voron is an open design and kits come from several vendors. Formbot's kit is $328.06 (was $349.00, 6% off), in stock, checked Aug 2026. The LDO & HoneyBadger V0.2-S1 kit is $639.99 but sold out. Neither figure includes printed parts unless the option is selected[1][2]$1,399.99 for the LDO Rev D+ kit at Fabreeko (300 mm and 350 mm are the same price), on pre-order with a mid-September estimate, checked Aug 2026. Fabreeko's live feed shows the base 2.4 kit listing at $1,299.99 and available. 3DJake lists an LDO 350 RevD kit but will not ship to the US[3][5][6]
Variants & sibling models — and how to tell them apart (spec-contamination risk)Two things get conflated. First, revision: R1 is the current one, adding a filament-runout sensor, MR85 bearings and fastener changes. Second, kit vendor: the LDO/HoneyBadger S1 kit ships an SKR Pico, E3D Revo, HoneyBadger dual-sided PEI/CF bed and 200 W supply, while the Formbot kit ships a TZ V6 or Dragon hotend and a 150 W supply, so hotend and PSU specs are vendor-specific, not model-specific. Printed parts are an extra on both[1][2]Sizes 250, 300 and 350 mm; LDO ships Rev D and Rev D+. Colours black, space grey, blue. Do not confuse with the Trident: the 2.4 lifts the whole gantry on four belted Z motors, the Trident lifts the bed on three screws. The Rev D+ kit includes a Raspberry Pi 4B; the older 3DJake-listed RevD kit explicitly does not include a Pi[3][4][6][7]
Physical & Frame
Build volume X×Y×Z (mm) — advertised vs actually usable120 x 120 x 120 mm[1][2]300 x 300 x 300 mm or 350 x 350 x 350 mm. Sortable value is the 350 mm kit[3][4][6]
Frame construction & materialAluminium-extrusion CoreXY frame with acrylic panels (LDO kit); the LDO/HoneyBadger build uses a 100 mm top hat. X axis on a genuine HIWIN rail, Y and Z on HoneyBadger stainless rails[1]Blind-joint aluminium-extrusion frame with a complete panel set; stainless-steel linear rails throughout[4][6]
Enclosure: open / enclosed; panel material; door/lidEnclosed by acrylic panels in the LDO kit[1]Enclosed by the supplied panel set. A Nevermore Micro V5 internal circulation filter is included in the LDO kit[6]
Kinematics & Motion Hardware
Kinematics (bedslinger i3 / CoreXY / other)CoreXY with the build plate moving in Z[1][2]CoreXY on linear rails, with a belted flying gantry on four Z motors[4][3]
X-axis guide type (rods / linear rails / V-wheels; size)Genuine HIWIN linear rail on X in the LDO kit[1]Not documented
Stepper drivers (exact model e.g. TMC2209; UART/SPI; sensorless homing?)Not documentedLDO Leviathan board: 5 x TMC2209 plus 2 x TMC5160 HV-capable drivers, ready for 48 V upgrades[3]
Speed & Acceleration
Max print speed (claimed, mm/s)250 mm/s max print speed, 300 mm/s max travel (Formbot kit listing). This is a kit-vendor figure, not a Voron Design specification[2]Not documented
Extruder
Type (direct drive / bowden) & design nameDirect drive in a Mini Stealthburner toolhead with a picobilical board and umbilical cable (LDO kit)[1]Clockwork 2 with a Bondtech BMG / Integrated Drive Gear Assembly, in a Stealthburner toolhead[3][4][6]
Hotend & Nozzle
Hotend design (proprietary/standard; quick-swap mechanism?)Kit-dependent: E3D Revo (Voron edition) in the LDO kit; TZ V6, Dragon standard-flow or Dragon high-flow in the Formbot kit[1][2]E3D Revo Voron (24 V), all-metal, high-flow variant in the Rev D+ kit, with a 60 W heater; upgradeable to a Phaetus Rapido HF for $9.99[3][4][6]
Max nozzle temp claimed AND firmware max temp limit (both values)300 °C on the Formbot kit listing. The LDO kit's E3D Revo has its own limit, not stated on the listing[2]Not documented
Heater cartridge power (W)Not documented60 W (E3D Revo High Flow heater)[3]
Heated Bed & Surface
Max bed temp claimed AND firmware limit110 °C (Formbot kit listing)[2]Not documented
Bed surface (material, texture, coating), single/double-sidedHoneyBadger dual-sided P-series plate in the LDO kit: smooth black PEI on one face, carbon fibre on the other, on a Kirigami mount with an edge-to-edge polyimide film heater[1]Cast 5083 aluminium plate with a magnetic base and a powder-coated PEI sheet; LDO silicone bed heater with edge-to-edge heating[4][3][6]
Leveling & Z-Offset
Auto bed leveling: probe technology (inductive / strain gauge / load cell / touch probe)Not documentedOmron inductive probe supplied; Klicky-mod parts included. Voron Tap is available as an add-on rather than standard[3][4]
Electronics & Power
Mainboard model & MCU (exact chip markings if teardowns exist)Kit-dependent. LDO kit: SKR Pico (LDO Edition) with a Raspberry Pi 4B as host[1]LDO x Voron Leviathan mainboard (replacing the earlier BTT Octopus), plus a Nitehawk SB USB toolhead PCB[4][3][6]
PSU (brand, wattage, rail voltage)200 W (LDO kit) or 150 W (Formbot kit)[1][2]Not documented
Firmware & Openness
Firmware base & current version (Klipper fork / Marlin fork / proprietary)Klipper[1]Klipper, hosted on a Raspberry Pi 4B (included in the Fabreeko Rev D+ kit, not in the older 3DJake RevD kit)[3][4][6]
Connectivity, UI & Camera
Display: size, type, touch? Not documented4.3-inch touchscreen included in the LDO kit[6]
LED chamber/toolhead lightingNot documentedCOB LED strips included[3][6]
Calibration Routines & QoL
Assembly level & time from unbox to first printSelf-assembly kit. Printed parts are not included in the LDO kit (sourced separately, e.g. through Voron's Print It Forward); the Formbot kit offers them as an option[1][2]Self-assembly kit; some parts must be printed by the user, and the LDO kit supplies pre-cut, pre-crimped cables and a heat-set insert soldering tip[6]

Manufacturer claims, independent measurements, packages and test conditions retain their source wording. FDM linear speed and resin vertical speed use different units and are not directly comparable. Unknown values are marked “Not documented”. Prices and source dates remain historical snapshots; check the linked guide for product details. Differences highlight text, not a universal winner.
