Acrylic filament sold as a transparent alternative to PC. Only one supplier listing was obtainable and it publishes no mechanical or thermal data, so this entry carries price and identity only.
PMMA is used for optical parts rather than primarily for structural strength: vehicle lamp covers, signal lenses, long light guides, illuminated signs and display covers. Röhm lists these applications for its PLEXIGLAS molding compounds because transparency, controllable light transmission, color stability and weather resistance let the material carry or shape light while preserving its appearance. Different compounds provide diffusion, improved impact resistance or additional heat resistance.
For printed optical parts, layer interfaces and surface texture scatter light, so transparency depends heavily on the grade, print structure and finishing. A material sold as clear acrylic should not be assumed to reproduce the clarity or heat resistance of a purpose-made optical molding compound. Acrylic also needs careful fastening and cleaning: concentrated stresses and incompatible alcohols or solvents can cause crazing or cracking.
Injection molding · Application-specific PLEXIGLAS PMMA molding compounds; not the catalog filament · Manufacturer-listed applications
Röhm identifies taillight covers, turn-signal covers and long light guides as injection-molded PMMA applications; optical quality and weathering resistance are the reasons for selection.

Values describe representative grades, not every spool. Manufacturer datasheets and independent tests retain their source labels and dates. Printed orientation, test method, conditioning and formulation can change results. Unknown values are —. A listed use is not a certification. Shore A, Shore D and Rockwell hardness are separate scales.
