Identity & Market
Manufacturer & exact marketed model name (verify the exact product identity first)Stratasys F120, part of the Stratasys F123 Series[1]Voron 2.4, current revision R2, kits shipping as Rev D and Rev D+. Sold as "Voron 2.4 R2 (Rev D+) 3D Printer Kit by LDO"[2][3]
Release date (announcement and actual shipping)The F123 series spec sheet carried is revision 0721a (July 2021). Stratasys does not print a launch date on it[1]Not documented
Street price (USD; dated snapshot per entry)Not documented$1,399.99 for the LDO Rev D+ kit at Fabreeko (300 mm and 350 mm are the same price), on pre-order with a mid-September estimate, checked Aug 2026. Fabreeko's live feed shows the base 2.4 kit listing at $1,299.99 and available. 3DJake lists an LDO 350 RevD kit but will not ship to the US[2][4][5]
Variants & sibling models — and how to tell them apart (spec-contamination risk)The F120 is the odd one out in the series: smaller cabinet (889 x 870 x 721 mm, 124 kg vs 1,626 x 864 x 711 mm, 227 kg), two external material coil boxes rather than internal spool bays, only two model materials, and no 0.127 mm layer option. Same build size as the F170 but not the same machine[1]Sizes 250, 300 and 350 mm; LDO ships Rev D and Rev D+. Colours black, space grey, blue. Do not confuse with the Trident: the 2.4 lifts the whole gantry on four belted Z motors, the Trident lifts the bed on three screws. The Rev D+ kit includes a Raspberry Pi 4B; the older 3DJake-listed RevD kit explicitly does not include a Pi[2][3][5][6]
Physical & Frame
Build volume X×Y×Z (mm) — advertised vs actually usable254 x 254 x 254 mm (10 x 10 x 10 in)[1]300 x 300 x 300 mm or 350 x 350 x 350 mm. Sortable value is the 350 mm kit[2][3][5]
Machine footprint (mm) & clearance needed (cable/spool overhang)889 x 870 x 721 mm (35 x 35 x 29 in)[1]Not documented
Net weight (kg)124 kg (F120) or 227 kg with consumables (F170, F270, F370)[1]Not documented
Frame construction & materialFully enclosed office/classroom-grade cabinet, factory assembled[1]Blind-joint aluminium-extrusion frame with a complete panel set; stainless-steel linear rails throughout[3][5]
Enclosure: open / enclosed; panel material; door/lidEnclosed build chamber[1]Enclosed by the supplied panel set. A Nevermore Micro V5 internal circulation filter is included in the LDO kit[5]
Kinematics & Motion Hardware
Kinematics (bedslinger i3 / CoreXY / other)Not documentedCoreXY on linear rails, with a belted flying gantry on four Z motors[3][2]
Stepper drivers (exact model e.g. TMC2209; UART/SPI; sensorless homing?)Not documentedLDO Leviathan board: 5 x TMC2209 plus 2 x TMC5160 HV-capable drivers, ready for 48 V upgrades[2]
Extruder
Type (direct drive / bowden) & design nameNot documentedClockwork 2 with a Bondtech BMG / Integrated Drive Gear Assembly, in a Stealthburner toolhead[2][3][5]
Hotend & Nozzle
Hotend design (proprietary/standard; quick-swap mechanism?)Not documentedE3D Revo Voron (24 V), all-metal, high-flow variant in the Rev D+ kit, with a 60 W heater; upgradeable to a Phaetus Rapido HF for $9.99[2][3][5]
Heater cartridge power (W)Not documented60 W (E3D Revo High Flow heater)[2]
Heated Bed & Surface
Bed surface (material, texture, coating), single/double-sidedNot documentedCast 5083 aluminium plate with a magnetic base and a powder-coated PEI sheet; LDO silicone bed heater with edge-to-edge heating[3][2][5]
Leveling & Z-Offset
Auto bed leveling: probe technology (inductive / strain gauge / load cell / touch probe)Not documentedOmron inductive probe supplied; Klicky-mod parts included. Voron Tap is available as an add-on rather than standard[2][3]
Electronics & Power
Mainboard model & MCU (exact chip markings if teardowns exist)Not documentedLDO x Voron Leviathan mainboard (replacing the earlier BTT Octopus), plus a Nitehawk SB USB toolhead PCB[3][2][5]
Input voltage (110/220 V, switch or auto)100-132 V / 15 A or 200-240 V / 7 A, 50/60 Hz[1]Not documented
Firmware & Openness
Firmware base & current version (Klipper fork / Marlin fork / proprietary)Proprietary Stratasys firmware; print preparation is GrabCAD Print. The F370 additionally carries an Insight software licence and DoD STIG compliance powered by Red Hat Enterprise Linux[1]Klipper, hosted on a Raspberry Pi 4B (included in the Fabreeko Rev D+ kit, not in the older 3DJake RevD kit)[2][3][5]
Connectivity, UI & Camera
Display: size, type, touch? Not documented4.3-inch touchscreen included in the LDO kit[5]
WiFi (band/standard), Ethernet, USB ports, SD/flash-driveWired TCP/IP at 100 Mbps minimum, 100base-T Ethernet, RJ45. Wireless-ready IEEE 802.11 n/g/b with WPA2-PSK or 802.1x EAP, CCMP/TKIP encryption[1]Not documented
LED chamber/toolhead lightingNot documentedCOB LED strips included[2][5]
Calibration Routines & QoL
Assembly level & time from unbox to first printNot documentedSelf-assembly kit; some parts must be printed by the user, and the LDO kit supplies pre-cut, pre-crimped cables and a heat-set insert soldering tip[5]
Materials Support
Officially supported filament listABS-M30 and ASA, with SR-30 support material. Notably the F120 does NOT get PLA, FDM TPU 92A or ABS-CF10, and cannot use the 0.127 mm layer height[1]Not documented
Safety
Certifications (UL/ETL/CE/FCC — verify, don't assume)CE (low-voltage and EMC directives), FCC, EAC, cTUVus, KC, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, RCM[1]Not documented
Noise & Power Consumption
Noise: claimed dB and independently measured dB (distance/method)46 dB maximum during build, 35 dB idle — manufacturer specification, no distance or method stated, and not an independent measurement[1]Not documented
Independently Measured Performance
Dimensional accuracy measurements (third-party, with numbers)Parts produced within +/-0.200 mm or +/-0.002 mm/mm, whichever is greater. Manufacturer figure derived from statistical data at 95% dimensional yield; Z accuracy carries an extra -0.000/+slice-height tolerance[1]Not documented

Manufacturer claims, independent measurements, packages and test conditions retain their source wording. FDM linear speed and resin vertical speed use different units and are not directly comparable. Unknown values are marked “Not documented”. Prices and source dates remain historical snapshots; check the linked guide for product details. Differences highlight text, not a universal winner.
