Identity & Market
Manufacturer & exact marketed model name (verify the exact product identity first)QIDI X-Plus 3, listed in QIDI navigation as X-Plus3[1][2]Voron 2.4, current revision R2, kits shipping as Rev D and Rev D+. Sold as "Voron 2.4 R2 (Rev D+) 3D Printer Kit by LDO"[3][4]
Release date (announcement and actual shipping)Not published by QIDI on the pages checked (Aug 2026)[1][2]Not documented
Street price (USD; dated snapshot per entry)$699 on QIDI's official US page, which routes purchases to its AliExpress and Amazon stores; checked Aug 2026. 3DJake lists the model as sold out[2][1]$1,399.99 for the LDO Rev D+ kit at Fabreeko (300 mm and 350 mm are the same price), on pre-order with a mid-September estimate, checked Aug 2026. Fabreeko's live feed shows the base 2.4 kit listing at $1,299.99 and available. 3DJake lists an LDO 350 RevD kit but will not ship to the US[3][5][6]
Variants & sibling models — and how to tell them apart (spec-contamination risk)Two headline-speed figures circulate for this model: QIDI's own US page says 600 mm/s and 35 mm3/s, 3DJake's spec table says <=500 mm/s and 30 mm3/s. This is exactly the kind of sibling contamination the 3-series suffers (X-Max 3 is 600 mm/s / 35 mm3/s). Siblings: X-Max 3 (325x325x315, 900 W) and X-Smart 3 (175x180x170, no chamber heat, 300 °C)[1][2][7][8]Sizes 250, 300 and 350 mm; LDO ships Rev D and Rev D+. Colours black, space grey, blue. Do not confuse with the Trident: the 2.4 lifts the whole gantry on four belted Z motors, the Trident lifts the bed on three screws. The Rev D+ kit includes a Raspberry Pi 4B; the older 3DJake-listed RevD kit explicitly does not include a Pi[3][4][6][9]
Physical & Frame
Build volume X×Y×Z (mm) — advertised vs actually usable280 x 280 x 270 mm advertised[1][2]300 x 300 x 300 mm or 350 x 350 x 350 mm. Sortable value is the 350 mm kit[3][4][6]
Machine footprint (mm) & clearance needed (cable/spool overhang)511 x 527 x 529 mm[1]Not documented
Net weight (kg)24.3 kg net[1]Not documented
Frame construction & materialAll-metal frame per QIDI's US page; no further breakdown published[2]Blind-joint aluminium-extrusion frame with a complete panel set; stainless-steel linear rails throughout[4][6]
Enclosure: open / enclosed; panel material; door/lidFully enclosed with a heated chamber[1][2]Enclosed by the supplied panel set. A Nevermore Micro V5 internal circulation filter is included in the LDO kit[6]
Passive chamber temperature reached (if enclosed; measured values preferred)65 °C, independent chamber heating (manufacturer claim)[1][2]Not documented
Kinematics & Motion Hardware
Kinematics (bedslinger i3 / CoreXY / other)CoreXY[1]CoreXY on linear rails, with a belted flying gantry on four Z motors[4][3]
X-axis guide type (rods / linear rails / V-wheels; size)Linear optical axis of high-strength steel[1]Not documented
Z-axis: leadscrew count & type, sync mechanism, anti-backlashDouble Z axis[1]Not documented
Stepper drivers (exact model e.g. TMC2209; UART/SPI; sensorless homing?)Not documentedLDO Leviathan board: 5 x TMC2209 plus 2 x TMC5160 HV-capable drivers, ready for 48 V upgrades[3]
Speed & Acceleration
Max print speed (claimed, mm/s)Conflicting manufacturer claims: QIDI's US page says 600 mm/s, 3DJake's spec table says <=500 mm/s. The lower, more conservative figure is used as the sortable value[1][2]Not documented
Max acceleration (claimed, mm/s²)20,000 mm/s2 (manufacturer claim)[2]Not documented
Max volumetric flow claimed (mm³/s)Conflicting: 30 mm3/s (3DJake) vs 35 mm3/s (QIDI US page). Lower figure used[1][2]Not documented
Extruder
Type (direct drive / bowden) & design nameHigh-flow direct-drive extruder, 1.75 mm filament[1][2]Clockwork 2 with a Bondtech BMG / Integrated Drive Gear Assembly, in a Stealthburner toolhead[3][4][6]
Hotend & Nozzle
Hotend design (proprietary/standard; quick-swap mechanism?)Ceramic heating core. Copper-alloy nozzle head for normal materials, hardened-steel nozzle head for abrasives. 0.4 mm stock, 0.2/0.6/0.8 mm optional[1]E3D Revo Voron (24 V), all-metal, high-flow variant in the Rev D+ kit, with a 60 W heater; upgradeable to a Phaetus Rapido HF for $9.99[3][4][6]
Max nozzle temp claimed AND firmware max temp limit (both values)<=350 °C claimed[1][2]Not documented
Heater cartridge power (W)Not documented60 W (E3D Revo High Flow heater)[3]
Heated Bed & Surface
Max bed temp claimed AND firmware limit<=120 °C claimed[1][2]Not documented
Bed surface (material, texture, coating), single/double-sidedDouble-sided flexible magnetic RF plate[1]Cast 5083 aluminium plate with a magnetic base and a powder-coated PEI sheet; LDO silicone bed heater with edge-to-edge heating[4][3][6]
Leveling & Z-Offset
Auto bed leveling: probe technology (inductive / strain gauge / load cell / touch probe)Automatic bed levelling; probe technology not named[2]Omron inductive probe supplied; Klicky-mod parts included. Voron Tap is available as an add-on rather than standard[3][4]

Calibration Routines & QoL
Assembly level & time from unbox to first printNot documentedSelf-assembly kit; some parts must be printed by the user, and the LDO kit supplies pre-cut, pre-crimped cables and a heat-set insert soldering tip[6]
Reliability, Support & Ecosystem
Warranty length & support reputation (evidence, not vibes)1-year coverage (QIDI standard store terms)[10]Not documented

Manufacturer claims, independent measurements, packages and test conditions retain their source wording. FDM linear speed and resin vertical speed use different units and are not directly comparable. Unknown values are marked “Not documented”. Prices and source dates remain historical snapshots; check the linked guide for product details. Differences highlight text, not a universal winner.
