Identity & Market
Manufacturer & exact marketed model name (verify the exact product identity first)Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K S 7.1" LCD 3D Printer. Manufacturer number 51010040501102[1][2][3]Prusa CORE One L+[4]
Release date (announcement and actual shipping)Not documentedThe CORE One L+ refresh was announced on 13 August 2026 and went on sale immediately, with the first assembled units shipping at once; it adds GT1.5 belts and an integrated nozzle wiper to the CORE One L[5]
Street price (USD; dated snapshot per entry)$270.00 on us.phrozen3d.com, backordered with an end-of-September ETA, checked Aug 2026. The collection page rendered it as unavailable on the same day[3][2]$1,850.93 on prusa3d.com, Aug 2026; $1,925.00 with the Advanced Filtration bundle. Prusa's own comparison text on the CORE One+ page quotes "from $1,799", which does not match the live e-shop price[6][7]
Variants & sibling models — and how to tell them apart (spec-contamination risk)Phrozen's 7.1-inch line is easy to confuse: the Sonic Mini 8K S ($270) sits beside the older Sonic Mini 8K ($340, sold out) and the 5.5-inch Sonic Mini ($129.99). The 10.1-inch Sonic Mighty family is a different size class entirely. The 8K S is the only one of the group with a single linear rail and a lead screw rather than a ball screw[2][1][3][8]Larger sibling of the CORE One+ (Gen 2): 300 x 300 x 330 mm against 250 x 220 x 270 mm, 60 C chamber against 55 C, 21.9 kg against 22.5 kg (the L is the lighter of the two despite being larger). A CORE One L to CORE One L+ upgrade kit exists, so "CORE One L" and "CORE One L+" are different revisions. A Critical Infrastructure Edition is also listed[4][7][6]
Physical & Frame
Build volume X×Y×Z (mm) — advertised vs actually usable165 x 72 x 170 mm[1][3]300 x 300 x 330 mm, which Prusa states as 29.7 litres[4]
Machine footprint (mm) & clearance needed (cable/spool overhang)290 x 290 x 430 mm[1][3]469 x 521 x 635 mm[4]
Net weight (kg)10 kg[1][3]21.9 kg (48.3 lb)[4]
