Hardware & upgrades

Update an early kit’s Z tension-arm assembly

The revised tension arm is documented as standard from Batch 3 onward. The project says Batch 1 and 2 kits contain the parts needed to build it and supplies the revised printed components and assembly notes.

Applies to: LDO / Positron V3.2 Batch 1 or 2 following the project’s current Z tension-arm documentation; check the specified pivot fasteners and spring arrangement.

Problems & troubleshooting

Early or hard homing: check the sensor and configuration match

The maintainer documents sensitivity-dependent X/Y sensorless homing and two different Z-homing arrangements. It also notes unreliable IR probing with glass beds. Compare the installed switch/probe with the configuration before changing calibration.

Applies to: V3.2 configurations. The default Z setup uses a microswitch; some builds have an IR probe and need a different configuration.

Cable-chain conversion parts for the V3.2 assemblies

The project publishes a cable-chain modification with revised extruder body/bottom plate, toolboard cover and assembly CAD. Review the complete matched assembly before printing individual parts.

Applies to: V3.2 cable-chain mod V0.1 files. The repository does not establish that every older or V3.2.2 extruder variant is interchangeable.

Use the maintained Positron Klipper configuration

The project maintains Klipper, Moonraker and screen configuration separately from the mechanical design. Preserve the machine’s existing calibration and select the installed Z-homing hardware when adopting updates.

Applies to: Positron V3.2 by Positron3D / LDO. This is not a configuration for the distinct Positron LT derivative.

How to read this guide

This guide presents the catalog’s sourced record for this exact model. Source dates belong to each reference; a page update does not mean every specification has been rechecked.

Prices are dated listing snapshots, with configuration, regional and sale conditions. They are not current offers. Unknown values remain unfilled.

Firmware, variants and available accessories can change. Read the original reference before making a purchase or planning a process.

Ownership research & coverage

Firmware, modifications and troubleshooting links are checked against the model and stated hardware or firmware revision. A creator’s compatibility claim is not a fit test by this site. Official troubleshooting describes a diagnostic route; individual reports do not establish a failure rate.
